Where has Damage been?!?!
Its time i gave you guys some explainations as to where i have been and why i keep disappearing. So here it is:
Roughly 1 month ago i made a serious decision which im hoping will turn out to be life changing for me. As you all know over the last 12 months i havent really concreted myself into any job as i have struggled to find something challenging/rewarding or even lucrative enough to be worth interest. As a result i have fluttered between 3 companies and even though the pay was pretty good the jobs themselves were woeful. Something had to change and i didnt quite know what i was going to do until i contacted Craig Fletcher (Wizzo) at Multiplay.
This essentially brings me to my reasons for disappearing. I applied through Craig to work at Multiplay. I simply put the question, do you need staff? As i knew that Multiplay had struggled at the last event with man power (seeing as the volunteers took the extra work load on as well with the Mulitplay boys and girls). The simple answer was yes! So began the lengthy process of making sure that 1) I was cut out for Multiplay and 2) They were cut out for me haha! I have spent several stints in the Multiplay offices (3 hour travel to get there for me) since applying to get a feel for the place itself and get some more information regarding the internal workings of Multiplay.
To sum all that up it looks like we are a match made in heaven. Initially however for the first month as of the 1st June i will only be doing 2 days a week while i essentially prove my worth to them. Assuming all goes well on the 1st July i will become a full time member of staff of which my Job Roles will be Support, Community Management and Sales. This will however mean that my time will become incredibly limited on certain days due to having to relocate for half of the week but on the flipside means i will be able to concentrate on Rasta Gaming and Multiplay as a whole as it will be my job :) This is amazing news for me and im over the moon at having this opportunity. I have worked long and hard to get these doors to finally open and i certainly dont intend on missing my shot. This doesnt mean i am now your personal Multiplay member of staff so when you want stuff you can bypass the usual methods however it will come with some perks :D
Thats pretty much it really but i felt you guys deserved an explaination as to why i havent been around so much. I have another 10 days approximately before it all kicks off properly so ill be doing as much as i can in preparation for the London MCM Expo (Rasta. - Sat 29th May) and HMV Gamerbase LAN Finals (Rasta. - Sun 30th May) and then kicking it off big style on the 1st June with Multiplay. So lets game hard and forget work just for one more week :)
