Back the Cause!

Now I don't often post sensible ideas and sensible posts on Cadred, and I really hope this is a thread that benefits everyone in the UK CS:S Community.

Another LAN has been cancelled, that makes it the third this year, and people still think under the delusion that they can still pay so late and things will fall into place. I am now frustrated, down hearted, angry & upset. I have been pushing FireCore as much as possible, as a real alternative to the iSeries in the future, and the chance for the UK CS:S scene to thrive with more LANs, and more of an event calendar away from online. It is disgusting that there has been lack of support, and whilst it was something that the scene could probably see anyway, I feel it is time to do something about it and maybe the change the way we do things.

If I get flamed for the things I say, good for me, because it shows how much you really care about a scene you play in and/or enjoy and/or support. If I get the support in this, then it shows there is still hope. A few people I have been speaking to, have also been angry & upset that another LAN has been cancelled, people like Raii & Bret etc etc.

Now obviously it is time to act, and it is time for willing people to step up to the plate and help move the scene forward, make it more stable and make it more friendly for the future of UK eSports and more importantly Counter Strike Source. My proposal is that we form something similar to "Vita Nova" and start to bridge the communication with Organisations, Communities, Event Organisers, Leagues & players. My other consideration here, is a way for us to build this proposal from the ground up will be needing a face to face meeting (maybe over a few beers) and if anyone is interested I would like to hold a session at the upcoming iSeries. Anyone who simply believe they can, should or could help, should throw me an email at gumpster@pro-css.com and we will arrange something so that we can get the ball rolling before all hope is lost.

It is the time to simply get everyone on the same page and see what really are the problems in the scene. If you want to help, if you feel you could help with a project like this, then as I say email me, or even better catch me on steam friends (gumpster304) and we can discuss the options for the CSS Community here and now.

Thanks
Gumpster

Not being funny but you are involved with the wrong people gump if you actually want something like this to take off. Chat to me tonight on steam and I will tell you why.
OK blanksy wanky!
Rasta, MOD and TP are the UK css community atm. We definately need to be more in touch with each other to push the scene. Facebook groups are a good start. If gumps involved, count me in!
Well im not sure how they stand these days but back when i was their star player Fragmasters had a booming community(then all the n00bs like beta and Re1ease joined, pffft).
